Looking for a chic and delicious cocktail to sip on your next night out or at home with friends? The Cosmopolitan, often called a "Cosmo," is the perfect mix of sweet, tart, and refreshing flavors. Thanks to its iconic pink color and sophisticated vibe, it's been a popular drink for years. The Cosmopolitan became famous in the ‘90s, thanks to shows like Sex and the City,at least for me😃 and it’s remained a staple ever since. The perfect blend of vodka, citrus, and cranberry juice makes it a refreshing and sophisticated drink that can be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Ingredients :

  • 3 tablespoon vodka (use a good quality vodka for a smooth drink)

  • 2 tablespoon triple sec (Cointreau or another orange liqueur works best)

  • 1 tablespoon of cranberry juice (use 100% pure cranberry juice for the best taste)

  • Half a tablespoon of fresh lime juice (fresh is always better than bottled)

  • Ice

  • Lime wedge or twist (for garnish)

How to’s

1.    Chill Your Glass: First, fill your cocktail glass with ice water and set it aside while you prepare the drink. This step ensures your Cosmo stays nice and cool once served.

2.    Add Ingredients to the Shaker: In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and fresh lime juice. This combination of ingredients gives the Cosmopolitan its signature balance of sweet, sour, and citrus flavors.

3.    Fill the Shaker with Ice: Fill the Shaker about halfway with ice. The ice will chill and dilute the ingredients slightly as you shake, helping to create that perfectly smooth texture.

4.    Shake It Up: Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds. You'll hear the ice rattling, which is a good sign! Remove the ice from your cocktail glass and strain the Cosmopolitan into the glass.

5.    Garnish: For the final touch, garnish your Cosmopolitan with a lime wedge or a twist of lime peel. The garnish not only looks stylish but also adds a subtle citrus aroma as you sip.

Tip: While the classic Cosmopolitan recipe is delicious, feel free to experiment by adding a splash of raspberry or strawberry puree for a fun twist.

Enjoy your drink !!
