Something About Life No.2

For a long time, I thought being strong meant handling everything on my own. Being the best at work, being fully present at home, being a perfect mother, a perfect partner, a perfect everything.
But at some point, I realized something important: constantly carrying the weight of everything eventually becomes too heavy for the body and the mind.
Recently, I went through a health scare that forced me to slow down and truly listen to myself for the first time in years. And honestly, it changed the way I see life.
We normalize exhaustion too much. The sleepless nights, the anxiety, the pressure to always do more and be more. We keep pushing ourselves as if resting is a weakness, when in reality, taking care of ourselves is one of the most important things we can do.
No success, no expectation, no role we play in life is worth losing ourselves over.
Protect your peace.
Rest when you need to.
Stop treating yourself like the least important person in your own life.
Because health is not something we should only appreciate after we’re forced to.
Love,
Sombrero
