Normally I didn't think of writing a post about it, but at the beginning of the pandemic, because of the scary questions my mom asked about 5G made me think, maybe I should.
3G, 4G LTE, and 5G are the concepts we hear the most lately. So what do these mean? Let's explain that G first. It means "generation." In this case, 5G is the newest of them. In summary, we are using the new generation mobile phone network coverage and speeds.

Let's go back to the old days. You can think of 1G just like the first cell phone we can make calls. With 2G, we started texting, that is, sending SMS. Do you remember the Nokia 3310 that we all wish to have? Even though GPRS and EDGE were in between, we were literally online with 3G and started to use the internet. With 4G, we are currently enjoying new high speeds.
3G vs. 4G
The difference between 3G and 4G, with a simple example, you can download files from the internet up to 10 times faster than 3G with 4G, and using the internet from your phone is just like using your home computer. All you need is a smartphone that supports 4G.
4G vs. 5G
5G operates at a much higher frequency than 4G, which gives users a much greater bandwidth. With faster downloads and streams than 4G, you can experience movies, music, and more without worrying about interruptions, freezes.
While it can be used in massive data collection for surgical procedures and even rehabilitation of paralyzed patients, 5G with driverless cars will help travel to be safer. I'm not even talking about what 5G will bring for the internet of things.
If we come to the question of whether 5G is harmful, of course, it will use higher frequency waves, and since the length of the wave will shorten, it will be necessary to install many more antennas to benefit from this technology. It is a fact that it will bring one-click more radiation to our lives, but measures can be taken to minimize the risks of such high-yield technology. For example, we continue to talk when our phone connection is low when we receive the most radiation. In this case, the direct call can be terminated, and this can be eliminated. We can keep 5G in our lives with the measures to ensure that we receive minimum radiation.
I think families who do not hesitate to expose their children to this radiation do not worry about 5G. Even those Tik Tok videos steal from both your children's time and health. But it does it so slowly that you don't notice it before it's too late...
